Stoke Park Pavilions, Northamptonshire

Annabel and Jonathans wedding started with a beautiful service inside the magnificent St Mary the virgin church at Stoke Bruerne followed by a quick trip to the stunning 100-acre park of Stoke Park Pavilions. The pavilions were built in about 1630 by the architect Inigo Jones, the first person to introduce from Italy the Palladian style of architecture that was to dominate building in Britain throughout the next century. Together with the Banqueting House in Whitehall and the Queen’s House in Greenwich, the pavilions are among the very first neo-classical buildings in Britain.
